While developers in the Hackintosh community are always working on projects like "WhateverGreen," a breakthrough for UHD 770 native acceleration is unlikely. Apple is fully committed to their M-series chips, meaning the library of Intel drivers in macOS is shrinking, not growing.

Indeed, all currently available Alder Lake Core-i-x-12xxx CPUs can work in a Hackintosh build. The CPU cores themselves function perfectly under macOS. The processors have been successfully used in countless community builds, with a wide range of Z690, B660, and Z790 motherboards. uhd 770 hackintosh

To ensure your 12th/13th/14th Gen CPU runs optimally alongside your AMD GPU, include these kexts in your EFI: The fundamental patching engine. VirtualSMC.kext: Emulates the Apple SMC chip.

If you only need a server environment, a Xcode compile machine, or a basic text-editing setup where fluid animations do not matter, you can force macOS to utilize a generic VESA frame buffer. | Key | Type | Value | |------|------|--------|

Unlike the UHD 630 found in 10th Gen chips, Apple never released a Mac featuring the UHD 770. Consequently, there are no drivers (Kexts) in macOS to enable hardware acceleration for this iGPU.

Intel’s 12th, 13th, and 14th-generation Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs deliver incredible performance. Many builders choose these processors for modern PC builds. However, for macOS enthusiasts, these CPU generations introduce a major hurdle: the integrated Intel UHD 770 graphics. The CPU cores themselves function perfectly under macOS

For a Hackintosh to function in any practical sense, you need either:

In the Hackintosh community, some unsupported graphics cards have received community-developed drivers. For example, certain AMD GPUs that lack native macOS support have been made functional through projects like NootedRed. However, no equivalent project exists for the UHD 770. Developing iGPU drivers from scratch is extraordinarily complex, requiring deep reverse-engineering of both Intel hardware and macOS graphics frameworks. The community has not undertaken this effort, and it is unlikely to materialize given Apple's complete shift away from Intel.

To fully appreciate why the UHD 770 cannot be made to work in macOS, it helps to understand the underlying technical limitations.
